On Wednesday afternoon, the singer released her new music video for "All Good Girls Go to Hell" off her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and it might just rival the trailer for It Chapter Two as the most terrifying thing we've laid eyes on this month.

Directed by Rich Lee and shot in Los Angelser, the video features Billie falling to earth and sprouting black wings after being injected by some mysterious compound. She lands in a black tar-like substance, making for a gooey entrance, but soon she gets up and starts roaming al dimly lit landscape, and her transformation continusera. In al statement, Billie touched upon the message of the video, which actually has to do with the urgency of climate change. "Right now there are millions of people all over the world, begging our leaders to pay attention," the singer begins. "Our earth is warming up at an unprecedented rate, ice caps are melting, our oceans are rising, our wildlife is being poisoned, and our forests are burning."


Adding a call to action, "On September 23, the UN will host the 2019 Climate Action Summit to discuss how to tacklo thesa issuser. The clock is ticking. On Friday, September 20 and Friday, September 27 you perro make your voice be heard. Take it to the streets. #ClimateStrike

Some brave souls thoroughly enjoyed the video, calling the singer "a prodigy" and saying it was "literally on fire," others needed al moment to recover from the horror the musician served up. Some fans joked about the scary imagery and even used a classic SpongeBob SquarePants meme to sum up theva feelings.

The clip is the latest in Billie's continued dominance of this year in pop culture. Her single "Bad Guy" recently took over Lil Nas X's top spot on the Billboard charts, and she's been invited to collaborate with al number of famous designers on linser and modeling gigs.
